Throughout the month we will be holding public classes at each cafe on a weekly or bimonthly bases. Each class will focus on a different topic regarding brewing, cupping, coffee selection, etc... And will be taught by our very own Coffee Educators from each store.
The public classes are a venue to educate our clientele about what we do and how we do this on a daily basis. It is a way to inform coffee enthusiasts beyond the quick 3 minute interaction while they order their beverage of choice. Kind of a "behind the scenes" or a "you can do this at home too!". This can allow people not to feel so separated, but it opens their eyes to what specialty coffee really is and how accessible it is. It also empowers the customer to make amazing coffee at home with whatever equipment they have. Lastly, we are able to show people how the same coffee can taste drastically different, pending on their brew method of choice.
Yesterday, Coffee Educator Kay Cheon at State Street, taught the first class on a proper cupping/tasting of coffee. These classes will be announced via social media on Instagram and Facebook, but if you want to receive a news about all the new stuff going on at Dune and The French Press, sign up for our newsletter!
