Pantan Sinaku is a coffee produced in conjunction with So So Good Coffee Company and Gayo Mandiri Cooperative. Mikael Jasin, owner of So So Good and the 2024 World Barista Champion, works with his exporting company Catur to elevate the landscape of Indonesian coffee.

Gayo Mandiri is a farmers’ cooperative of smaller, family-owned farms in the highlands of Aceh. Together, these farmers are able to access the international coffee market, operating their own mill and building community efforts around education and the environment.

This coffee from Pantan Sinaku undergoes an anaerobic natural process that Catur calls Kamala, which means lotus in Sanskrit. This process utilizes different yeast inoculations and anaerobic fermentations during the post-harvest processing of the coffee to take traditional Indonesian coffee varieties and create fruity and aromatic flavors in the cup.

We taste rich dark chocolate and cacao, followed by bright orange and a deep cherry sweetness in the cup.
